Rookie Singer Yusansul Becomes Binggrae Supercone Model... "Sings National Cone CM Song"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Binggrae announced on the 13th that it has selected rookie trot singer Yusansul as the model for Super Cone.
Yusansul is a character newly created as broadcaster Yoo Jae-seok challenged himself as a trot singer, gaining great attention last year by releasing songs such as "Hapjeong Station Exit 5" and "Love Redevelopment." In this Super Cone advertisement, a new trot-style CM song will be introduced with the slogan "National Cone, Super Cone." To promote the new CM song, Binggrae is planning a "Super Cone Trot Challenge" following last year's "Super Cone Dance Challenge."
Binggrae plans to release the advertisement video featuring Yusansul on its social network service (SNS) channels on the 14th. Additionally, the filming site of the advertisement will be aired on MBC’s entertainment program "How Do You Play?" where Yusansul was born. On the 11th, Binggrae posted a teaser image on the Binggrae Ice Cream SNS account to announce the news of the new model appointment and released a video showing the "Yubengers" trio visiting to compose the Super Cone CM song, attracting great consumer interest.
Binggrae Super Cone was launched in April 2018, achieving sales of 10 billion KRW that year, and last year recorded sales of 18 billion KRW, drawing market attention. Binggrae believes that Super Cone quickly established itself in the market thanks to its product competitiveness, including differentiated taste and rich toppings, as well as bold marketing activities featuring models such as Wanna One and Son Heung-min.
