NS Home Shopping Postpones 'NS Cookfest 2020' to Second Half Due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] 'NS Cookfest 2020,' originally scheduled for May, has been postponed to the second half of the year due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
NS Home Shopping announced on the 13th, "To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safe operation of the event, we have decided to hold NS Cookfest 2020 in the second half of the year."
NS Home Shopping made this decision considering the health and safety of participants, staff, and the local community from the threat of COVID-19 that could arise during the cooking contest registration and event preparation processes. The specific schedule will be separately announced on the website once confirmed.
NS Cookfest is a food culture festival held annually since 2008 by NS Home Shopping to promote national health, lead food culture, and contribute to the development of the Korean food industry. Over 12 years, it has been composed of various programs including the largest cooking contest in Korea, along with information and experiences related to healthy food.
Especially this year, the event was prepared as a milestone to move the venue to Iksan, breaking away from the Seoul and metropolitan area-centered competition to become a nationwide food culture festival. To this end, a business agreement was signed last May with Iksan City and the Korea Food Industry Cluster Promotion Agency.
