It is analyzed that the sales of self-beauty products for home care increased as the atmosphere of refraining from outdoor activities spread due to COVID-19.
Representative products with increased sales include hair dye (147%), hair treatment products (298%), and nail care products (174%). In addition, sales of trouble care products that can soothe skin troubles caused by prolonged mask-wearing also increased by 89%.
In particular, products containing ceramide ingredients, known to protect against skin moisture loss and block the penetration of harmful substances from outside, saw further sales growth.
Sales of inner beauty products, called edible cosmetics, also stand out. Low molecular fish collagen products with fast absorption are popular. ‘Health One S-Return Pure Collagen’ and ‘Nutri One BB LAB Collagen’ captivated consumers' taste buds by adding fruit flavors such as peach and mixed berry.
