Second COVID-19 Case in Uijeongbu... Symptoms After Traveling to the UK and France
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The second confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been reported in Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province.
According to Uijeongbu City on the 12th, a 28-year-old man identified as Mr. A, residing in Minrak-dong, Uijeongbu, was confirmed positive the day before. Mr. A traveled to London, UK, and Paris, France, from the 27th of last month to the 7th of this month, and returned to Incheon Airport on the 8th. After developing symptoms such as fever and cough, Mr. A visited the screening clinic at Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Uijeongbu Hospital by his own car on the 10th and was tested, receiving a positive diagnosis the following day.
After arriving in Korea, Mr. A took an airport limousine bus from Incheon Airport to Seoul and then went home by private car. He was reported to have stayed at home with three family members, including his parents and older brother. The three family members tested negative for COVID-19 in the afternoon of the same day.
Mr. A is currently being transferred to and isolated for treatment at Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Uijeongbu Hospital.
