The emergency bell can be activated by pressing the button for 2 to 3 seconds when urgent situations such as verbal abuse, assault, or unusual complaints occur. Once pressed, the report is immediately sent to the 112 comprehensive situation room and simultaneously connected to the respective police stations (or police substations), enabling the police to promptly dispatch and resolve the risk factors.
Furthermore, with the installation of the latest CCTV systems in each eup/myeon civil service office by April, the working environment in the civil service offices is expected to become even safer.
A Sinan-gun official stated, “Many female public officials work at the civil service counters, and there have been difficulties in responding to threatening civil petitioners who sometimes make threats or even verbal abuse. Now, they can work in a safe environment without worry, allowing us to provide high-quality civil service that meets the expectations of the residents.”
