"Monthly 100GB Extra" KT Altteul Phone Plan Benefits Enhanced
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT is running a promotion that provides up to 100GB of additional data free of charge every month for one year to MVNO customers using the KT network.
According to KT on the 11th, the promotion applies to three postpaid plans. First, the plan based on ‘LTE Data Selection 65.8,’ which offers 10GB of basic data and 2GB per day after depletion (with unlimited 3Mbps speed thereafter), will receive an additional 100GB of basic data every month. The plan based on ‘Soon Broadband Safe Unlimited 51,’ which provides 15GB of basic data (with unlimited 3Mbps speed after depletion), will receive an additional 50GB of basic data monthly. The plan based on ‘LTE Selective 100 Minutes 10GB,’ which offers 10GB of basic data, will receive an additional 10GB of data per month.
The promotion benefits apply equally to all MVNO operators offering these plans. Both new subscribers and existing customers can receive the same benefits by subscribing to the free additional service. Chae Jeong-ho, KT MVNO Manager (Executive Director), said, “We prepared this promotion to increase the benefits of MVNO operators using the KT network and actively support their business,” adding, “We will continue to coexist with MVNO operators and enhance benefits for MVNO customers.”

Meanwhile, KT lowered the wholesale price of its 5G network by 66% in February and also reduced the wholesale price of the ‘LTE DataON’ plan to the industry's lowest level. Additionally, KT plans to implement various measures such as ‘advance payment of operator support funds’ and ‘marketing activity support’ to assist MVNO operators currently facing difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19.
