'Eulho Emergency' Declared at Gyeongju and Andong Police Stations... "Maintaining Order at Residential Treatment Centers"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency announced on the 10th that it has declared a 'Eulho Emergency' at the Gyeongju Police Station and Andong Police Station in relation to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Eulho Emergency corresponds to the second-highest level in the police emergency duty stages, just below the highest level, Gapho Emergency. Police officers belonging to police stations where the Eulho Emergency is declared will have their annual leave suspended and, depending on the commander's judgment, up to 50% of available police forces can be mobilized.
Accordingly, the number of police stations nationwide where the Eulho Emergency has been declared has increased to seven, including the Daegu Provincial Police Agency and the Cheongdo, Gyeongsan, Chilgok, and Bonghwa Police Stations in Gyeongbuk. In addition, a 'Heightened Alert' has been issued to provincial police agencies nationwide.
