Shinhan Bank Extends KBO League Title Sponsorship Through 2021
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Shinhan Bank announced on the 9th that it has extended its title sponsorship with the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and the KBO League until 2021, and confirmed the official name of this season's tournament as the 'Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League.'
Both parties held a title sponsor signing ceremony for the KBO League at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul and unveiled the 2020 season KBO League title emblem. Shinhan Bank, which signed the largest title sponsorship contract in domestic professional sports history in 2018, will continue its partnership with the country's most popular sports league through this sponsorship extension. Through this agreement, Shinhan Bank will hold the official title usage rights of the league until 2021 and plans to communicate with baseball fans in various ways, including league broadcasts and stadium advertisements.
Shinhan Bank plans to provide baseball fans with the enjoyment of watching baseball along with various benefits by launching specialized products such as the '2020 Shinhan Pro Baseball Savings and Deposits' centered around the bank application 'Shinhan SOL,' which is also used as the new official tournament name, and by conducting baseball-related events.
Jin Okdong, President of Shinhan Bank, stated, "Shinhan Bank will serve as a channel for baseball fans and bank customers to enjoy baseball through Shinhan SOL in partnership with the KBO," adding, "We plan to actively communicate with baseball fans so that the keywords KBO League and professional baseball are associated with Shinhan Bank."
