Kim Seong-won, spokesperson for the United Party, stated on the 9th, "It is simply absurd that Director Nam, who has no professional expertise listed in his resume, is going to serve as an outside director of a commercial bank just one month after his appointment."
Spokesperson Kim criticized, "The PCC has proven itself to be merely a tool for regime extension. The PCC was launched under the banner of a fair society and prosecutorial reform. From the very beginning, no citizens believed in its sincerity when the Democratic Party made a backdoor deal with minor parties over the election law and pushed it through by force."
Regarding Director Nam, he pointed out, "He is a representative pro-Roh and pro-Moon figure, having served as head of the Legislation Office during the Roh Moo-hyun administration, a special envoy for President Roh, and a member of President Moon Jae-in’s presidential campaign advisory group. He faced strong criticism for compromising neutrality even when appointed as director."
Spokesperson Kim added, "Even after a month since its launch, the PCC has failed to select external advisory committee members or establish an office, yet the director is busy securing his own position, which is why the saying 'more interested in personal gain than duty' is not unfounded. Ultimately, the PCC is not for prosecutorial reform or a fair society, but rather a pretext to secure their own people, remove those they dislike, and use these efforts as a foothold for regime extension, nothing more and nothing less."

He continued, "The outside director system will also be abused to suit the regime’s tastes. Already, through the amendment of the Commercial Act enforcement decree last January, qualifications for outside directors have been tightened, and this year, 566 companies with a total of 718 outside directors need to replace them. Under the Moon administration, which is obsessed with controlling power through the rushed PCC law and even manipulating the outside director system, it is only a matter of time before second and third figures like Director Nam emerge," he criticized.
