[Daegu·Gyeongbuk=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Daegu City announced on the 9th that it plans to file charges against members of the Shincheonji Daegu Church who have not undergone testing for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on that day.
According to Daegu City on the day, among the 10,471 Shincheonji members managed by the city, it has been confirmed that 10,220 (97.6%) have undergone diagnostic testing so far.
Among the 9,651 people whose test results have been notified, 4,137 (42.9%) were confirmed positive. A total of 251 Shincheonji members have been counted as not having undergone diagnostic testing.
Among the 8,178 first-phase management targets who were ordered by administrative order to undergo diagnostic testing by this day, 8,128 (99.4%) had been tested by the previous day, leaving 50 members who have not yet been tested.
Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin emphasized at the regular briefing on the day, "We give a final warning that those who do not undergo diagnostic testing by today will be immediately charged."
The city also requested early diagnostic testing for 201 people who have not been tested among the 2,293 second- and third-phase management targets.
