Incheon TP Provides 60 Million Won Operating Funds to Five 'eSports Teams'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyesook Park] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 8th that it will support eSports teams based in Incheon in collaboration with Incheon City.
Incheon TP will select around five teams to revitalize the eSports industry, including nurturing talent in the gaming industry, and provide 60 million KRW for team operating expenses such as player salaries and activity costs. Additionally, the rights to use the CI of Incheon City and Incheon TP will also be granted.
The support targets eSports teams based in Incheon that have formed semi-professional or higher level player rosters. Companies that can relocate to Incheon within three months after signing the agreement are also eligible for support.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Incheon TP website by the 18th, filling it out, and sending it via email.

An Incheon TP official stated, "We expect this to play a role in strengthening the competitiveness of eSports teams in the Incheon area and laying the foundation for the gaming and eSports industry," adding, "We will strive to build a public-private cooperative model for fostering the game content industry together."
