[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Health authorities and the Ministry of Justice have secured a list of 70,000 Shincheonji members from China and have investigated the entry-exit and infection-related connections for half of them.
On the 7th, Kwon Jun-wook, Deputy Director of the Central Disease Control Headquarters, stated, "We have obtained a list of more than 70,000 Shincheonji members from China from the Ministry of Justice, but for more than half of them, it was difficult to proceed with the investigation due to incomplete resident registration numbers and difficulties in verifying individuals with the same name. Through administrative investigations, more accurate information about the Shincheonji members from China has been identified, and together with the Ministry of Justice, we will verify the identities, entry-exit status, and infection-related connections for the remaining half (approximately 35,000 cases)."
