According to sources in Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, A (36, female), a Korean Air flight attendant, tested positive for COVID-19 from a private testing agency the day before. This is the second time a Korean Air flight attendant has been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
The flight attendant was confirmed to have traveled to LA from the 18th to the 20th. Yongin Mayor Baek Gun-gi explained on Facebook that "the source of infection is under investigation."
According to industry sources, she boarded Korean Air flight KE012 from LA to Incheon on the 20th of last month (local time). This flight was the same one on which the first confirmed case, B (24, female), was a passenger. Accordingly, A has been under self-quarantine for two weeks along with other flight attendants who were on the same flight.
B was confirmed positive on the 24th of last month after showing suspicious symptoms following her flight on KE968 from Tel Aviv to Incheon, which was carrying Israeli pilgrims who had previously tested positive.
