Kazakhstan to Hospital Quarantine All Arrivals from Korea...No Koreans Included
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Donghyun] The city of Almaty in Kazakhstan has placed all arrivals from Korea under hospital quarantine.
Local media such as Tengri News reported on the 5th (local time) that Almaty, following the central government's directive, quarantined all 100 people arriving from Korea (including 93 Kazakh nationals).
Treuhan Abildayev, head of the Almaty City Health Department, stated, "From today, all passengers arriving from Korea will be quarantined in hospitals," adding, "(The passengers) are all in good health, but since they came from virus-infected risk areas, they will be quarantined for 14 days for the city's safety." According to the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Almaty, none of the quarantined passengers are Korean nationals.
