"COVID-19 Case Movements and Screening Clinics at a Glance"… Incheon Yeonsu-gu Launches Mobile Service for COVID-19 Status Map
Shincheonji Facilities Also Confirmed... Additional Update on Mask Sales Locations
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Yeonsu-gu, Incheon has independently created and launched a mobile-accessible 'Yeonsu-gu COVID-19 Status Map' that allows users to view confirmed patients' movement routes, screening clinics, and Shincheonji-related facilities at a glance.
This mobile website was developed by the Yeonsu-gu Land Information Division without a budget, utilizing GIS-based software provided free of charge through collaboration requests with Incheon City.
Anyone can access it via the short URL (https://is.gd/vZw6uE) to see nationwide COVID-19 statistics, confirmed patients' movement paths, screening clinic locations, and Shincheonji-related facilities all in one place.
After a pilot operation at the end of last month, the full service began on the 2nd of this month, and due to prior word of mouth, about 6,000 visitors have accessed it daily since the pilot phase.
The district plans to soon update the COVID-19 status map with locations of mask-selling stores by area for service.
In addition to real-time status of confirmed patients, users can also check major information and changes, which is expected to be very helpful not only for Yeonsu-gu residents but also for citizens.

A Yeonsu-gu official explained, "Since the outbreak of COVID-19, each local government has been quickly delivering related news, but we judged that efficient access methods like spatial maps were lacking, so we created the COVID-19 status map." He added, "In particular, two district office officials voluntarily developed this mobile status map quickly without complicated processes such as budget expenditure or internal approvals, handling everything from data collection to design, coding, and configuration."
