34 COVID-19 Cases in Military, 5,920 in Quarantine

As of 10 a.m. on that day, there were 19 in the Army, 1 in the Navy, 2 in the Marine Corps, 11 in the Air Force, and 1 in the Ministry of National Defense direct units. Among the confirmed cases, the 6th confirmed patient has recovered and was discharged on the 4th. Additional confirmed cases on that day included 1 Army soldier and 1 officer in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and 1 officer in the Ministry of National Defense direct unit in Daejeon.
The military is currently quarantining 5,920 people to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The number of quarantined personnel decreased by about 1,340 compared to the previous day. According to health authorities' criteria, the number of quarantined personnel within the military due to confirmed cases, contact with confirmed cases, symptoms, and suspected patients is about 1,120. The number of personnel under preventive quarantine according to the military's own standards is about 4,800.
