[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] A confirmed case of COVID-19 occurred at Hyundai Construction Equipment's Ulsan factory, leading to the factory's closure.
According to Hyundai Construction Equipment and Ulsan Metropolitan City on the 4th, a 58-year-old male employee working at Hyundai Construction Equipment Ulsan Plant 2 in Dong-gu, Ulsan, tested positive for COVID-19 on the afternoon of the 3rd. Ulsan Plant 2 is where the wheel loader production line is located. The confirmed case's wife and daughter had previously tested positive for COVID-19.
Accordingly, Hyundai Construction Equipment closed the Ulsan factory from 10 p.m. on the 3rd and conducted disinfection.
Additionally, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, close contacts were identified and placed under self-quarantine, and all employees were notified to work from home until the 4th.
