According to Daegu City on the 4th, a 67-year-old woman, Ms. A, passed away at around 1:50 a.m. while receiving treatment at Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital in Gyeongbuk.
Ms. A visited Daegu Catholic University Hospital on the 25th of last month due to cough and chills and was tested for COVID-19. She was confirmed positive the next day.
She later visited the emergency room at Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital on the 29th of last month due to difficulty breathing and had been hospitalized in a negative pressure isolation ward since the 1st of this month for treatment.
The city explained that "Ms. A's underlying conditions are unknown."
Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 deaths in Daegu has risen to 23. The total number of deaths nationwide is 33.
According to the city, as of midnight on the same day, the total number of confirmed cases in Daegu was 4,006, an increase of 405 from the previous day.

Of the total 4,006 confirmed cases, 1,330 are hospitalized, 373 are admitted to residential treatment centers, and the remaining 2,270 are waiting at home due to a shortage of hospital beds.
