[Photo] Geumcheon Residents Take Voluntary COVID-19 Prevention Measures
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 25th of last month, one confirmed case of COVID-19 occurred in Geumcheon-gu, and residents of Geumcheon-gu have voluntarily engaged in disinfection activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that residents, including Saemaeul leaders, resident autonomy committees, and neighborhood chiefs, are actively conducting disinfection work by neighborhood.
The autonomous disinfection teams in each neighborhood are conducting self-disinfection targeting multi-use facilities such as parks, public institutions, daycare centers, churches, banks, bathhouses, and areas densely populated by Chinese residents throughout the neighborhood.
They plan to continue disinfection activities on a weekly basis until the COVID-19 situation is resolved.
Following a confirmed case in Gwangmyeong City on the 26th of last month and a confirmed case on the 29th in Yeongdeungpo-gu, it was revealed that the workplace of the confirmed patient was Ace Highent Tower 9th in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu. Accordingly, emergency disinfection was conducted targeting the building and Gasan Digital Complex Station, and a thorough investigation of the confirmed patient's movements and all employees working in the building is underway.
