First COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Luxembourg... Second Patient Reported in Belgium
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The first confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been reported in Luxembourg.
On the 2nd (local time), according to AFP and dpa news agencies, Luxembourg health authorities announced that the country's first COVID-19 case was confirmed on the 29th of last month.
The man recently returned from Italy, where COVID-19 is rapidly spreading, via Charleroi Airport in Belgium. He is currently isolated in a hospital in Luxembourg, and his family members are also in quarantine.
Belgium reported its second confirmed case the day before. This patient recently returned from a region in France where many cases have been confirmed and is currently isolated in a hospital in Antwerp. Belgium's first confirmed case was reported in early last month.

In Norway, two additional confirmed cases were reported among ophthalmology staff at Oslo University Hospital the day before, bringing the total number of patients to 17, while Sweden's cases increased to 14. The Netherlands also saw its confirmed cases rise to 10.
