Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters Adds 'Emergency Alert Team' Installation
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters has installed an additional emergency backup station.
On the 2nd, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced that it had newly set up a '119 Integrated Situation Room Emergency Backup Station' in the 6th-floor video conference room within the headquarters in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon.
The backup station refers to all the equipment used to receive 119 emergency calls.
A Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters official stated, "In preparation for situations where the backup station in the 5th-floor 119 Integrated Situation Room becomes inoperable, we have established 30 emergency backup lines using laptops and emergency phones in a separate space, the 6th-floor video conference room."
Previously, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters disinfects the 119 Integrated Situation Room twice daily and conducts fever checks when shift workers enter the room.
