KT Skylife, SLT Fully Reorganized to skyAuto
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT Skylife will revamp its in-vehicle media service ‘SkyLife LTE TV (SLT)’ as ‘skyAuto’ on the 2nd.
Through this revamp, Skylife will expand the service scope from mainly large passenger vehicles such as buses to general passenger cars. Additionally, the revamped website will provide information on improved products and about 200 dealerships nationwide, including distributors and AS-designated agencies.
The distribution system will also be reorganized. It will be divided into two categories: passenger cars and buses/special vehicles, with a service system tailored to the characteristics of each vehicle type. From now on, ‘Skylife’ broadcasts can be watched inside all types of vehicles regardless of the model. AS (after service) will also become more convenient. For ‘skyAuto’ customers, AS can be easily received anywhere nationwide, not only at the initially installed dealership, by operating about 40 AS-designated dealerships at key locations. Securing convenience that customers can feel is the core of this service revamp.
Additionally, a new payment plan to enhance customer convenience will be introduced within the first half of the year. By introducing an annual payment plan that does not require monthly payments, the service usage convenience will be improved considering the special nature of automobiles.
Moreover, active collaboration marketing with various brands will be promoted. Following marketing cooperation with the official partner of Mercedes-Benz vans in July last year, cooperation with THULE, the world’s largest Swedish brand specializing in vehicle carriers, is also underway. Together with THULE Korea (Nanux Networks Co., Ltd.), a vehicle carrier product maximizing the convenience of using the skyAuto satellite antenna will be developed and launched. At THULE’s official dealerships nationwide, customers will be able to immediately install skyAuto products using THULE carriers and receive services.
