20s Woman in Suncheon, Jeonnam Tests Positive for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] A nurse in her 20s living in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, who traveled to Daegu, has been confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 29th, according to Jeonnam Province and Suncheon City, a specimen collected from A (25), a resident of Suncheon, was tested at the Jeonnam Health and Environment Research Institute, resulting in a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.
A showed symptoms such as headache and high fever the day before, tested positive in the first test at a private institution, and was also confirmed positive in the second test conducted by the Jeonnam Health and Environment Research Institute.
A visited Daegu on the 15th and 16th, and worked normally at the hospital from the 17th to the 21st. However, upon hearing news of confirmed cases continuing in Daegu, A agreed with the hospital not to go to work temporarily starting from the 22nd.
After no further symptoms appeared, A is known to have visited beauty salons, restaurants, bars, and cafes in downtown Suncheon on the 25th and 26th.
A was transferred to a negative pressure isolation room at Jeonnam National University Hospital and is receiving treatment.

Suncheon City closed two places including the restaurant visited by A and conducted disinfection work. The restaurant staff were quarantined at locations designated by Suncheon City. The city is investigating A's connection to the Shincheonji Church and is identifying close contacts and movement paths.
