Jeonnam Teachers, 53 out of 65 Test Results Confirmed 'Negative'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Most of the 65 private school staff members in the Jeonnam region tested negative for COVID-19.
According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 28th, out of 65 Jeonnam region staff members who attended the 'Private School Forum' held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building on the 19th, 53 tested negative. The remaining 12 are currently undergoing testing, and results are expected as early as the afternoon of the 28th.
After it was revealed that Ha Yun-su, president of the Korea Federation of Teachers' Associations, who attended the 'Private School Forum,' was confirmed positive, the Provincial Office of Education conducted an emergency investigation on the 24th to secure the list of attendees and carried out testing.
The 21 schools visited by the attendees underwent quarantine and disinfection. Additionally, special disinfection was conducted after tracing movement paths, and attendees have been instructed to self-isolate until the 9th of next month.
The schools where they work are distributed by region as follows: 4 schools in Mokpo, 2 in Yeonggwang, 2 in Boseong, 1 in Gokseong, 9 in Yeosu, and 3 in Suncheon, totaling 21 schools.
