Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee Donates Over 1 Billion KRW to Support COVID-19 Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 28th that, as the spread of COVID-19 infections continues, it will donate 1 billion KRW to the social welfare corporation Children and Future Foundation to support vulnerable groups and prevent further spread in local communities, and plans to deliver additional cumulative donations.
The donated funds will be used to support disaster-stricken families who find it difficult to purchase personal hygiene products, socially marginalized children and adolescents in Korea who need help due to COVID-19, and medical staff and volunteers who are struggling on the front lines fighting the threat of infection.
The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee will first urgently allocate 1 billion KRW, and from March to May, it plans to accumulate a donation of 100,000 KRW per vehicle sold, making additional donations once the cumulative amount exceeds 1 billion KRW.
This decision was made to contribute to overcoming the nationwide crisis as a member of Korean corporate citizens, with the Mercedes-Benz Korea Social Contribution Committee directly supporting the entire donation amount.
