Coast Guard Cheong to Hire 791 Police Officers and Civil Servants... Largest Scale Ever
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Korea Coast Guard will recruit a total of 791 personnel across 15 fields, including police officers and general staff.
This recruitment is being conducted on the largest scale to date, reflecting the importance of field-centered work for public safety.
The number of police officers to be hired is 725, with recruitment fields including 3 lawyers at the rank of Superintendent and 12 helicopter pilots at the rank of Inspector.
At the rank of Patrol Officer, there are 280 open recruitment positions, 280 ship crew members, 70 rescue personnel, 40 paramedics, 20 from the Department of Maritime Police Studies, and 20 maritime traffic controllers, totaling 430 experienced hires.
The number of general staff to be hired is 66 in total. This includes 35 positions in marine pollution prevention within the marine, fisheries, industrial, and environmental sectors, 30 positions in maritime traffic control within the broadcasting, telecommunications, computer, and marine fisheries sectors, and 1 position in the facilities sector.
Most of those selected in this recruitment will be assigned to frontline field departments such as patrol vessels, police substations, and aviation units to carry out maritime security duties.
Applications can be submitted until the 12th of next month through the Korea Coast Guard recruitment website (http://gosi.kcg.go.kr). For categories designated for persons with disabilities, applications can be submitted by registered mail or by visiting the Korea Coast Guard headquarters in person.
