According to local media on the 27th, Danish health authorities announced that the first COVID-19 case was confirmed that day.
The man had recently returned from a ski trip to Lombardy in northern Italy.
Danish health authorities stated that the man tested positive for COVID-19 on the night of the 26th. In a statement, they explained, "The man went on a ski trip with his wife and son and returned on the 24th, after which he suffered from cough and fever." His wife and son tested negative and are currently quarantined at home.
