COVID-19 Suspected Patient Causes Disturbance While Intoxicated at Screening Clinic
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] A man in his 50s, intoxicated, caused a disturbance at a COVID-19 screening clinic in Chungbuk, prompting police to respond.
According to Cheongju Cheongwon Police Station on the 27th, a report was received around 1 a.m. that a suspected patient, Mr. A (50), was causing a disturbance while intoxicated at a hospital screening clinic in Cheongwon-gu.
It was investigated that Mr. A was waiting to undergo a COVID-19 diagnostic test.
According to the police, Mr. A caused a disturbance by shouting at medical staff, demanding a faster test.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported from this incident.
When the police arrived at the scene, Mr. A reportedly moved to another screening clinic with his family.
The police judged the matter to be minor and closed the case on site.
