On the same day, Kospo held its 2020 regular general meeting at Dreamplus in Seocho-gu, Seoul, where about 100 attendees including Kim Bong-jin, CEO of Woowa Brothers, Professor Kim Do-hyun of Kookmin University, and member companies participated and passed the resolution.
This is the selection of a successor chairperson following the expiration of the term of the inaugural chairperson Kim Bong-jin, who led the forum for three and a half years since its launch in 2016.
Regarding the background of establishing a co-chair system, a Kospo official said, "We have built a cooperative system among three representative entrepreneurs from different fields to more efficiently represent member companies positioned in various industries," adding, "This decision aims to leverage each person's strengths to contribute to Kospo's expanded role and status, thereby growing into a balanced organization."
The three jointly elected chairpersons expressed their shared sentiment, saying, "We feel a heavy responsibility being elected as chairpersons representing startups at Kospo," and "We will do our best by utilizing our respective experiences to create an ecosystem where startups can grow stably."
