Lee Hyung-seok Preliminary Candidate: "I Will Expedite the Construction of 'Buk-gu Sports Complex'"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Lee Hyung-seok, a preliminary candidate for the National Assembly representing Buk-gu Eul, Gwangju Metropolitan City from the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 26th, "We will expedite the construction of the 'Buk-gu Comprehensive Gymnasium' and expand the living sports infrastructure to improve the quality of life for Buk-gu residents."
Candidate Lee Hyung-seok stated, "Currently, about 440,000 people, accounting for 33% of Gwangju's population, reside in Buk-gu, and approximately 100,000 living sports enthusiasts are active in 500 clubs across 34 sports disciplines. However, the available sports facilities are absolutely insufficient compared to the number of living sports participants."
He continued, "Unlike other districts in Gwangju where international standard sports facilities have been established, there are no professional sports facilities capable of hosting large-scale sports events in Buk-gu, making it necessary to balance the distribution of sports facilities by region."
