Gyeongbuk Province COVID-19 Cases Total 283... Increased by 51 in One Day
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Gyeongbuk Province increased by 25 overnight.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 26th, as of 8 a.m., the total reached 283, an increase of 51 from 232 the previous day. These 283 cases include 112 related to Cheongdo Daenam Hospital, 68 related to Shincheonji Daegu Church, 29 Israeli pilgrims, 22 related to Chilgok Milal House of Love, and 52 other general patients.
By region (based on resident registration), Cheongdo has the highest number with 116 cases, followed by Gyeongsan with 48, Uiseong 26, Chilgok 22, Yeongcheon 17, Pohang 15, Andong 11, Gumi 6, Sangju 5, Gyeongju 4, Mungyeong and Gunwi 3 each, Yeongju and Yecheon 2 each, and Gimcheon, Yeongdeok, and Cheongsong 1 each.
Out of 23 cities and counties, 17 have reported outbreaks.
The regions of those related to Cheongdo Daenam Hospital are Cheongdo with 110 cases and Gyeongsan with 2 cases. Among the 112 related to Daenam Hospital, there are 95 psychiatric ward patients, 1 general ward patient, 9 staff members, and 7 deceased psychiatric patients.
The 68 related to Shincheonji Daegu Church are from Gyeongsan 34, Yeongcheon 12, Gumi, Mungyeong, and Gunwi 3 each, Sangju 2, and Andong, Cheongsong, Cheongdo, and Yecheon 1 each. The 29 pilgrims’ regions are Uiseong 20, Andong 5, and Yeongju, Sangju, Yeongdeok, and Yecheon 1 each.
