Gasoline Prices Fall for 4 Consecutive Weeks... 1,538.5 Won per Liter
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Gasoline prices sold at gas stations nationwide have fallen for four consecutive weeks.
According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information service Opinet on the 22nd, the domestic gas station gasoline sales price in the third week of February 2020 recorded 1,538.5 won, down 14.1 won from the previous week. During the same period, diesel sales prices fell 17 won to 1,362 won.
The region with the highest gasoline sales price was Seoul, recording 1,614.5 won. On the other hand, Daegu had the lowest price at 1,506.7 won.
By brand, the most expensive was SK Energy at 1,550.2 won, and the cheapest was self-branded at 1,514.8 won. For diesel, SK Energy was the most expensive at 1,374.4 won, and self-branded was the lowest at 1,334.4 won.

The Korea National Oil Corporation explained, "In the third week of February, international oil prices rose due to the smaller-than-expected increase in U.S. crude oil inventories and the continued disruption of Libyan crude oil production."
