Two Daejeon Citizens Test Positive in Initial COVID-19 Screening... Final Results After 4 PM
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Two individuals in Daejeon have tested positive in the first round for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Daejeon City on the 21st, these individuals tested positive in the initial rapid test and are currently isolated in the negative pressure rooms at Chungnam National University Hospital, where a second, more detailed test is underway. The final test results are expected to be released after 4 PM on the same day.
The city is investigating the movement paths and contacts of the two individuals prior to their isolation, and it has been reported that one of them recently traveled to Vietnam.

A city official stated, “We understand that both citizens who tested positive in the first round have no connection with the Shincheonji Church,” and added, “The city is currently awaiting the final test results and will monitor the situation until the second confirmation is made.”
