The Family-Friendly Certification System is a program in which the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family grants certification to companies and public institutions that exemplary operate family-friendly systems to support workers’ work-family balance. Based on the Act on the Promotion of a Family-Friendly Social Environment, companies are selected after reviewing compliance with support for workers’ childbirth and child-rearing, improvements in work and leave systems, and the creation of a family-friendly workplace culture.
OB Beer supports employees’ work-family balance by introducing maternity leave and parental leave systems that exceed legal standards. Since January last year, it has been providing an additional 30 days of maternity protection leave on top of the existing total of 90 days of maternity leave, and has expanded spouse childbirth leave from the existing 5 days to 2 weeks of paid leave. In addition, infertility treatment leave has been newly established, providing 4 days of paid leave to both male and female workers.
Furthermore, OB Beer is leading the creation of a corporate culture for a harmonious work-life balance by implementing flexible working hours, PC Off (a system that automatically shuts down PCs after work hours), ‘Family Day’ every Wednesday, and paid leave for wedding anniversaries.
