Seodaemun-gu Supports 'Youth Challenge Project'

Supporting Young People Who Revitalize Local Communities with Innovative Ideas Through Project Funding

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is holding a contest for the ‘2020 Seodaemun-gu Youth Challenge Project’ to invigorate the local community with fresh ideas from young people.

Groups or organizations of three or more youths aged 19 to 39 residing in Seoul can apply under the themes of ▲ youth startup item utilization business ▲ youth community activation ▲ public tasks and resolution of youth issues.

After document screening and presentation evaluation, a total of 40 million KRW will be supported within a limit of 5 million KRW per project.

Applicants can download the application form from the Seodaemun-gu website notice, fill it out, and submit it by email (kkm7269@sdm.go.kr) or registered mail from February 20 to March 10.

The district will hold the ‘Youth Challenge Project Performance Presentation’ at the end of this year when the projects are completed, allowing each participating group to share their project details, and will also award outstanding projects.

Mayor Moon Seok-jin stated, “I hope that various business ideas of young people will be realized through this project, and Seodaemun-gu will actively support the courageous challenges of youth in the future.”
