Say "Pyeonhyang Insa" instead of "Code Insa"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jonggil Lee] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Institute of the Korean Language proposed on the 18th to replace the term ‘code insa’ with the Korean term ‘pyeonhyang insa’.
‘Code insa’ refers to the act of an appointing authority hiring someone who shares the same bias as themselves. The two organizations concluded at the Saemal Meeting held from the 10th to the 12th that ‘pyeonhyang insa’ is an appropriate Korean replacement for this term. Additionally, they suggested changing ‘mirror sheet’ to ‘ansim geoul.’ ‘Mirror sheet’ refers to a reflective film attached to shared entrance doors of residences or restroom entrances to prevent crime.
