Gyeongsangnam-do, Selects 1,793 New Public Officials
2 Level 5 Officials, 41 Level 7 Officials, 1686 Level 8 and 9 Officials, 64 Researchers and Instructors
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongsangnam-do (Governor Kim Kyung-soo) announced on the 13th that it plans to recruit 1,793 new local government officials this year.
The scale of this recruitment was finalized considering various factors such as manpower demand for national policy projects and the creation of youth jobs in the public sector.
Although it is 336 people (15.8%) less than the 2,129 planned recruits last year, it is the second largest scale in history.
The number of recruits by rank is 2 for Grade 5, 41 for Grade 7, 107 for Grade 8, 1,579 for Grade 9, and 64 for researchers and instructors. The province will recruit 204 people, and 1,589 people will be recruited from 18 cities and counties within the province.
By major job categories, there are 635 for Administrative Grade 9, 339 for Facilities Grade 9, 148 for Social Welfare Grade 9, 89 for Nursing Grade 8, and 85 for Agriculture Grade 9, with Administrative Grade 9 accounting for 35% of the total recruits.
In particular, to secure diversity in public service and actively expand opportunities for socially disadvantaged groups to enter public office, separate recruitment will be conducted for 101 people with disabilities, 43 from low-income groups, and 15 technical high school graduates (expected), which is a higher scale than the legally mandated ratio.
