View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju-cheol In] Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 13th that it, along with Andong City and Yeongcheon City, was finally selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's '2020 Smart City Integrated Platform Infrastructure Support Project,' securing 1.8 billion KRW in national funding.
This project aims to establish an urban safety network by utilizing CCTV camera video information nationwide. The province will promptly provide CCTV footage installed in cities and counties to the police and fire departments to prevent and respond to various accidents and disasters.
Andong City will establish a fire monitoring and response system for traditional temples, architectural cultural assets, and traditional markets. Yeongcheon City, one of the key traffic hubs, will support tracking illegal waste transport, habitual local tax delinquents, and police wanted vehicles.
