Fire at Ulsan Motel, 1 Dead...Suspected Suicide

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A fire broke out at a motel in Ulsan, resulting in the death of one guest.
At around 1:48 a.m. on the 10th, a fire occurred on the 3rd floor of a five-story motel in Nam-gu, Ulsan.
According to the police, one guest in their mid-20s died in the fire, and 42 people evacuated.
Additionally, one motel room was burned, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at approximately 12 million KRW (29㎡).
The fire department and police believe the fire started in the room where the deceased guest was staying.
An ignition device was found in the room where the fire broke out, and a note resembling a suicide letter was reportedly discovered.
The police are investigating the exact cause of death, noting that the deceased guest had been receiving treatment for a mental illness.
