Due to the nature of employment agencies, which see frequent visits from foreign workers such as daily construction laborers, special caution is deemed necessary.
Accordingly, the district formed an emergency response inspection team and completed a full inspection of all 88 employment agencies in the area, starting with Sinsa-dong and Jowon-dong, where many foreigners including Chinese reside densely.
The inspection team visited employment agencies directly, urgently distributing quarantine supplies such as hand sanitizers and masks, and guided them to comply with preventive measures, urging their cooperation to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the community.
They also disseminated response guidelines and reporting systems for foreigners, including Chinese nationals, and job seekers who recently traveled to China, advising them to immediately inform the district of any visits so that prompt action can be taken.
Prior to this response visit and inspection, the district had urgently sent multilingual coronavirus prevention brochures, including Chinese, by mail to all 88 employment agencies in the area and established an emergency contact network among businesses for swift response in emergencies.
