Two New Confirmed Cases of Novel Coronavirus... 25th Patient's Son and Daughter-in-Law (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Two additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) have been reported in South Korea. The new confirmed cases are the son and daughter-in-law of the 25th patient.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of 4:30 PM on the 9th, two more novel coronavirus patients were confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 27.
The 26th (51-year-old male, Korean) and 27th (37-year-old female, Chinese) patients were confirmed to be the son and daughter-in-law of the 25th patient (73-year-old female, Korean), who was announced earlier that morning. The 26th and 27th patients were suspected to be the sources of infection for the 25th patient.
They visited Guangdong Province, China, in November last year and returned to Korea on the 31st of last month. They tested positive in the examination conducted on the day of the announcement. They are currently receiving isolated treatment at Anseong Hospital, a designated infectious disease management institution in Gyeonggi Province.

Meanwhile, the number of suspected novel coronavirus cases has increased by 258 from the morning to reach 2,571.
