No New Domestic Cases of Novel Coronavirus... 620 Under Examination
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced on the 8th that no additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) have been reported domestically. As of 9 a.m. on the same day, no additional cases have occurred since the 24th confirmed case was identified on the 6th in a 20-year-old male Wuhan evacuee living in a temporary residence facility within the Police Human Resources Development Institute in Asan, Chungnam.
The total number of confirmed cases to date is 24, among which patients number 1 and 2 have completed treatment and been discharged. The total number of contacts with domestic patients has been counted at 1,701, an increase of 349 from the 1,352 announced the previous day.
