With the infectious disease alert level for the novel coronavirus infection, which recently occurred in China, being raised to "caution" and confirmed cases occurring consecutively, the university discussed whether to delay the start of the first semester, hold graduation and entrance ceremonies, and decide quarantine locations, based on the Ministry of Education guidelines, to respond quickly to the prevention of infectious diseases among university members.
As a result of the discussion, following the Ministry of Education guidelines on the 5th, it was decided to delay the start of the first semester of the 2020 academic year by two weeks to establish a stable academic operation foundation, cancel the graduation and entrance ceremonies, and have graduate students attending the master's and doctoral degrees participate in the graduation ceremony in August.
In particular, the quarantine location for Chinese international students who applied for dormitory admission and are arriving by the 29th was designated as the university's External Cooperation Hall.
