Kim Byung-won Preliminary Candidate "Support Successful Opening of Korea Electric Power University and Enact Special Law"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Kim Byung-won, a preliminary candidate for the Democratic Party of Korea in Naju·Hwasun, Jeonnam, promised to support the successful opening of Korea Electric Power Corporation University (KEPCO University) and enact a special law, as well as to create a waterside park around the university.
On the 7th, candidate Kim said, "KEPCO University is a valuable achievement made possible by the united efforts of the local community and the citizens of Gwangju and Jeonnam," adding, "I will definitely enact a special law to ensure the university's smooth opening and stable operation."
He pointed out, "Members of the Liberty Korea Party are engaging in 'blind' obstruction," and said, "This can only be seen as a malicious intention to incite regional conflicts by politically exploiting national agendas ahead of the general election."
He continued, "KEPCO University, aiming to be a world-class energy-specialized university, is an important project that will achieve differentiation in terms of technology, talent, and entrepreneurship, and it was a campaign pledge of the Moon Jae-in administration," promising, "I will definitely enact a special law in the 21st National Assembly so that KEPCO University can stand tall as a world-class energy-specialized university."
