Gyeonggi-do Recruiting Participants for 'Energy Self-Reliance Leading Project'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting institutions to participate in this year's energy self-reliance pilot projects.
This project is a future-oriented initiative aimed at creating a "Gyeonggi Province-type Energy Self-Reliance Zone" by installing and operating renewable energy generation facilities such as solar and wind power within the province and using the profits generated.
Selected institutions will receive up to 50% of the project costs required for renewable energy generation facilities, high-efficiency energy equipment, and energy-saving installations. The maximum support per project is 500 million KRW.
Applications are open from the 17th of this month until the 6th of next month. Applicants can visit the Gyeonggi Provincial Government website (https://www.gg.go.kr/), go to the Notices and Announcements section, fill out the application form and required documents, and submit them to the energy department of the relevant city or county office.
The province will select supported institutions through a first-round document review followed by a second-round expert evaluation. In particular, additional points will be awarded for ▲ promoting resident-participatory citizen power plants (10 points) ▲ installing renewable energy generation facilities and new industry convergence in urban parks (10 points) ▲ social enterprises (5 points).
A provincial official stated, "The energy self-reliance pilot project is a policy where cities, counties, local residents, and companies participate together to establish energy self-reliance organizations and create a system to foster future new growth industries. We ask for active participation from organizations that have both the commitment and capability for energy self-reliance."
