[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Doosan Art Center's free art lecture series 'Doosan Art School: Art' will begin on April 5.

Doosan Art Center announced on the 6th that 'Doosan Art School: Art' will be held every Thursday for a total of five sessions starting from March 5 at the Yeongang Hall of Doosan Art Center.

'Doosan Art School: Art' has covered various fields such as Eastern and Western contemporary art and photography, and in the first half of this year, it will focus on architecture. Under the theme 'Museum Architecture Pilgrimage: Art Space VS. Spatial Art,' the course will explore the history and meaning of museum architecture and examine interesting museum cases by region and city from an architectural perspective. Through the five sessions, participants can create a pilgrimage journey of museum architecture like an atlas. They will discover the joy of finding artistic meaning not only in the artworks exhibited in museums but also in the space itself as art.

The lectures will be conducted by Professor Nam Seongtaek from the Department of Architecture at Hanyang University. On March 5, the lecture will cover 'The History and Meaning of Museum Architecture,' on the 12th 'European Museums I,' on the 19th 'European Museums II,' on the 26th 'Museums in the Americas,' and on April 2 'Museums in Asia and Other Regions.' Professor Nam Seongtaek earned his master's degree from the Department of Architecture at Seoul National University and the ?cole d'Architecture de la Ville & des Territoires ? Marne-la-Vall?e (EAV&T) in France, where he also obtained the French architect license (Architecte DPLG). He received his Ph.D. from the ?cole Polytechnique F?d?rale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland under Professor Jacques Lucan, researching 'Architecture and Readymade.' He independently translated Professor Jacques Lucan's book 'Exploring Contemporary Architecture,' which was published last year.

All five sessions of 'Museum Architecture Pilgrimage: Art Space VS. Spatial Art' are free of charge and can be applied for after registering as a member on the Doosan Art Center website.
