[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Jang Hwikuk) announced on the 6th that it will announce the final successful candidates, 86 in total, for the '2020 Academic Year Public Secondary School Teacher (including Health, Librarian, Professional Counselor, Nutrition, Special (Secondary) Teachers) Appointment Candidate Selection Competitive Examination' through the Office of Education website at 10 a.m. on the 7th.
The 2020 Academic Year Public Secondary School Teacher Appointment Candidate Selection Competitive Examination was conducted in two stages, starting with the announcement of the implementation plan on October 11 last year, including the first stage of educational major subjects, and the second stage of in-depth interviews on teaching aptitude and teaching demonstrations.
A total of 906 applicants applied for this exam, and 86 were finally selected.
The originally planned number of recruits was 94 across 23 subjects, but due to failures and absences in the first exam of the disability separate recruitment, 8 candidates could not be supplemented.

The final successful candidates will be posted on the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education website and the online recruitment system. Training for newly appointed teachers is scheduled to be conducted remotely at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Training Institute from the 12th to the 24th.
