[Lee Isul, Entertainment Reporter]
Actress Ra Mi-ran revealed her honest philosophy on how she views her work.
In an interview held on the afternoon of the 6th at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, she shared various stories about the film Honest Candidate (directed by Jang Yoo-jung).
During the interview, Ra Mi-ran spoke about changes regarding her upcoming projects. She said, "The range of project offers has diversified, and the demands have also changed."
Ra Mi-ran added, "I am grateful. It's nice that they see various sides of me and offer me roles accordingly."
When asked about her criteria for selecting projects, Ra Mi-ran candidly answered, "Either the project is really good, or the people making the project are good, or it's about the money. If one of these three conditions is met, I decide to participate."
She continued, "It has always been like this, and it remains the same now. It's hard to consider other conditions. If one of the three is fulfilled, I want to do it."
Honest Candidate is a slapstick comedy about Joo Sang-sook (Ra Mi-ran), a three-term lawmaker for whom lying was the easiest thing, but one day before an election, she suddenly becomes unable to lie, leading to chaotic events. Ra Mi-ran plays the role of the lying lawmaker who can no longer lie. The film was scheduled to be released on the 12th but is currently under discussion due to the impact of the novel coronavirus.
