[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 6th that it has decided to acquire vehicles worth 98 billion KRW owned by SK Networks. The company explained, "This transaction involves purchasing some vehicles with terminated contracts among the long-term contract vehicles remaining with SK Networks, which were excluded from the business transfer deal with SK Networks as of December 31, 2019. This acquisition aims to reduce purchase costs and increase profits through operational efficiency."

The vehicle acquisition through cash payment includes 440 units, and the acquisition through lease agreement succession includes 4,960 units. The transaction amount is 98 billion KRW, which corresponds to approximately 8.4% of the consolidated total assets at the end of 2018.
