60s Man Arrested for Setting Fire at Inn in Incheon

View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 60s who set fire to a guesthouse in Incheon and fled was caught by the police 17 hours after the escape.
On the 5th, the Jungbu Police Station in Incheon announced that they had arrested and were investigating Mr. A (64) on suspicion of arson of an occupied building.
Mr. A was caught by the police around 1 p.m. near the guesthouse in Sinheung-dong on the same day.
He is suspected of setting fire to the first floor of a two-story guesthouse building in Sinheung-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon, at 6:03 p.m. the previous day (the 4th).
Due to the fire, one guest inhaled smoke and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while six other guests evacuated.
The fire also burned a 38㎡ guest room and furnishings, causing property damage estimated by the fire department at about 37 million won.
